And when you do find detailed app info, it reads more like a keyword-stuffed sales pitch or contains confusing and contradicting labels. You're choosing apps based on whoever paid for the best placement and used the best keywords, not what actually fits your needs.

What We Do
Our purpose is to shed light on what data apps actually collect (or don't collect) about you, so you can make an informed decision about which apps you download. We read every privacy policy so you can know the truth about what data is collected, rather than relying on advertisements and marketing campaigns.
You can also search for pricing and functionality in addition to data privacy. Apps offering in-app purchases or collecting certain information isn't always bad. Filter by what's important to you and make more informed decisions.

If there's an app missing, you can suggest it (left menu once you sign in). If there's an issue or something doesn't work quite right, click "Report an Issue / Request a Feature" at the bottom of any page to let us know.
What Data We Collect
We certainly care about our privacy as app users, and we think you might care a bit too. That's why we wrote our privacy policy and terms and conditions in plain english. Here's the highlights:
All search queries, filters, and page views are stored as anonymous, singular sessions - only votes are tied to your never-public account. To create an account, all you need is an email. An account allows you to suggest new apps, vote on apps, and vote for future functionality and new categories on the roadmap. Votes are posted anonymously and cannot be traced back to your account by other users.
